5th GRADERS and FAMILIES

Hello 5th Graders and Families,

We hope you are all healthy and well. Students, we miss you very much and we can not wait to see you again.  Due to the school closure on March 13th, no new instruction will be given at this time.  We have created a 5th grade friendly website for Optional At Home Learning and we will be updating this weekly with optional assignments from teachers. Please see link below to visit our 5th Grade At Home Learning Page. This can also be found through the Swans Creek Class Pages. If you have any further questions, please contact me at (Email here) or through the HUB.  PWCS will send out updates and information to all parents and students as new information comes out. To get updates from Swans Creek Elementary, follow Swans Creek Elementary Facebook page and/or Twitter page.

During this time you can go to these locations listed by the county to receive togo meals while school is closed, they are providing breakfast and lunches. Dates and times are provided in the link above.

5th Grade, we want you to know that we are here for you with any questions you may have regarding the website or for just a friendly hello.

Sincerely,

The 5th Grade Team

Follow this Routine

1.) Click here and scroll down for the weekly optional learning calendar. Every subject is covered and it will be a year in review style and approach. Each week there will be a new one provided

2.) Check my files and Documents---I have powerpoints and information there for you to learn. It is also at the bottom of the 5th Grade Home Learning Resources.

3.) Find Assignments on Brain Pop, SeeSaw, Splash Math and Legends of Learning to work on those topics.

4.) Prodigy is good practice too

5.) Lots of links below on my webpage that relates to a yearly review...NO SOL's but you still need to know the information to be successful next year.

6.) The New Stuff is extra. If you want to stay pace that is how to do it by learning the new material but it will not be graded. It can be found in the weekly folder under files and documents.

7.) TEAMS will be used.

The home learning resource under class pages, 5th Grade has all of the necessary links to help.My email is mcdermbs@pwcs.edu if you have any questions or concerns. Stay safe at home and all will be good, I am here for each of you if you need me!!

Welcome Aboard the 5th Grade Roller Coaster! There will be twists and turns, maybe a few bumps on the track but lots of thrills and excitement along the way too. Keep your head up and always look ahead because this ride will be fun all the way until the very last stop.
