It is my honor and privilege to serve as the Principal of Swans Creek Elementary School. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary year, I am excited to continue partnering with our students, staff, families, and community to ensure that every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

For the past nine years, I have proudly served the Swans Creek community as both an administrator and a parent. Having recently transitioned from Assistant Principal to Principal, I am deeply committed to building on the strong foundation that makes Swans Creek such a special place. Our school is driven by a shared belief that all students can achieve at high levels when they feel valued, supported, and connected.

At Swans Creek, we focus on creating engaging learning experiences, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture, and strengthening partnerships with families. Through collaboration, high expectations, and a commitment to continuous growth, we strive to prepare every student for success both in school and beyond.

A Little About Me:
My passion for education is rooted in building relationships, supporting teachers, and helping students discover their strengths. I believe that every child deserves opportunities to learn, lead, and succeed, and I am dedicated to creating an environment where all students feel a sense of belonging. Throughout my career, I have focused on instructional excellence, inclusive practices, and ensuring that every child receives the support they need to reach their full potential.

When I am not at school, you can find me enjoying time with my family. I am a lucky wife and the proud mother of three amazing children that keep me busy with...everything!  I am a sports enthusiast and lover of animals. 

I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to working alongside our incredible staff, families, and community. Together, we will continue making Swans Creek Elementary a place where students are inspired to learn, grow, and achieve.

My name is Stacy Garhart, and I am thrilled to join the Swans Creek Elementary School Administrative team for the 2026–27 school year. I am excited for this opportunity to grow as an educational leader while supporting our students, staff, and families.

I have spent more than 19 years in education and have had the privilege of working with students in a variety of roles, including as a classroom teacher, librarian, and Title I teacher. Throughout my career, I have learned that the most important part of education is building strong relationships. When students feel known, valued, and supported, they are empowered to take risks, learn from their mistakes, and reach their full potential. I look forward to bringing that belief to my work at Swans Creek and partnering with our staff to create meaningful learning experiences for every student.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a supportive husband and 3 children who attend Prince William County Public Schools. I also coach volleyball and love reading!

I am incredibly grateful for this leadership opportunity. I look forward to getting to know our students, staff, and families and working together to make a successful school year. I can't wait to see all that our Swans Creek students will accomplish!
